My Journey

I've always been a fairly active person, growing up enjoying sport and exercise. However, when I was 18, I began experiencing debilitating anxiety. For several years, I struggled with a constant feeling that something wasn't quite right. Feelings of dread became part of everyday life, and I found myself in a difficult place, mentally.

It was a complex experience, but one of the biggest lessons I took away from it was just how much our daily habits shape the way we feel and the people we become.

I started making changes. I became more conscious of my routine, paying greater attention to my nutrition, sleep, activity levels and general lifestyle. Gradually, I began to notice positive changes in my mood, confidence and overall wellbeing.

A huge part of that journey was discovering weight training. Getting stronger, moving regularly and having something positive to work towards gave me a sense of direction and purpose. Although the physical changes were a welcome bonus, it was the mental benefits of exercise that initially made such a difference to me.

Finding My Passion

Throughout my early to mid-20s, I worked a number of different jobs. I learnt valuable skills along the way, but none gave me the sense of fulfilment I was looking for.

Outside of work, I spent most of my free time in the gym. Weightlifting had become a genuine passion, and as I progressed with my own training, I increasingly found myself helping others with theirs. Before long, I had become something of an unofficial personal trainer!

It felt like a natural next step to turn that passion into a career. I completed my Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training qualifications and soon joined The Laboratory Spa & Health Club as a coach, where I've continued to develop my knowledge and experience.

Building Something Of My Own

In December 2025, I took another exciting step and transformed my parents' garage into a fully equipped personal training space. What was once somewhere to store all sorts of odds and ends has become a gym that I'm incredibly proud of. A huge thank you to Mum and Dad for making it possible!

Today, alongside coaching at The Laboratory, I work at the Graft Garage every Tuesday and Thursday as well as teaching exercise classes for people with learning disabilities at Wave Hub charity in Muswell Hill.

My Approach To Coaching

My own journey has shaped the way I approach personal training.

I believe fitness should be about much more than how you look. It's about building strength, improving your health, developing confidence and creating habits that positively influence every aspect of your life.

I'm passionate about helping people to enjoy exercise, to find out what they're capable of and to help make sustainable changes that last.

You don't need to be particularly fit or experienced to get started. You just need somewhere to begin.

My goal is to help you become stronger, healthier and more confident, both inside and outside the gym.
